West Stockbridge Quarry House
Design started in 2016 to create a private residence on a large wooded site anchored by an old quarry in West Stockbridge for our clients. The client’s original plan was to build a larger house on a site across the quarry as the family grew. However, given the beauty of the original site and the initial playful, contemporary design, it was decided to redesign to accommodate the arrival of two children within a year. The house is currently nearing the end of the design phase, and construction work is scheduled to begin in 2021.
The design process was fueled by numerous sketches defining all aspects of the proposed house, along with site models and 3D computer-generated models to permit interior and exterior views, as well as plan and elevation developments.
